Whales Make a Splash, Acquiring Altcoins from Binance

Over the weekend, crypto whales made their presence felt, accumulating millions of dollars worth of digital assets from Binance, the largest crypto exchange by volume.

Whale Withdrawals

According to blockchain tracking firm Lookonchain, whales withdrew significant amounts of the following altcoins from Binance on Saturday:

  • Chainlink (LINK)
  • Pepe (PEPE)
  • Uniswap (UNI)
  • Maker (MKR)
  • Ethereum Name Service (ENS)

Notable Transactions

  • A wallet withdrew 322.48 billion PEPE ($2.78 million) from Binance.
  • Another wallet withdrew 500,000 UNI ($3.75 million), 183,799 LINK ($2.62 million), 171 MKR ($500,000), and 31,139 ENS ($483,000) from Binance.

DWF Labs Transfer

Lookonchain also reported that web3 investment firm DWF Labs transferred $2 million worth of USDC to a multi-sig safe wallet that already holds 10 million Polygon (MATIC) tokens.

Whitelisted Wallet Gains

In late April, Lookonchain discovered two whitelisted wallets that made astonishing 30,080x gains on a meme asset built on Base, Coinbase’s Ethereum layer-2 scaling solution. The wallets purchased BRETT (BRETT) for $102 and later sold it for $3.14 million.
