Solana-Based Render Token Shows Little Excitement After Coinbase Listing

Coinbase Support

Coinbase, the leading US crypto exchange, announced the addition of Render (RENDER) to its platform. Render is a decentralized altcoin that allows users to earn rewards by sharing their unused graphics processing power to render graphics and visual effects for other projects.

Tepid Response

Despite the Coinbase listing, Render’s price has remained largely unchanged, trading around $4.91 at the time of writing. This represents a slight decrease of 2.1% over the past 24 hours.

Solana Migration

Render was previously an Ethereum-based token but migrated to Solana in late 2023. According to project founder Jules Urbach, this move significantly enhanced the protocol’s utility.

Ethereum and Solana Versions

Coinbase will support both the Solana and Ethereum versions of the Render token. The tokens will have slightly different names across blockchains: RNDR for Ethereum and RENDER (Solana) for the Solana version.
