A Crypto-Powered Approach
Co-founder Karan Malhotra explained that this decentralized training is made possible by leveraging cryptocurrency’s incentive mechanisms. Users will essentially be paid for contributing their unused computing power, making it a transaction rather than a donation. Malhotra emphasized that while they’re using blockchain technology, they’re primarily focused on serious AI research.
The Future of Nous Research
While Nous Research is building on the Solana blockchain, there’s no set launch date for their AI training product yet. They’re still deciding whether to offer rewards in Solana (SOL).
