Arvest Bank Data Breach Affects Thousands

What Happened?

The breach stemmed from a technical glitch during a system update on April 24, 2025. This glitch briefly allowed some customers to view other customers’ account information online. Arvest says the issue was quickly identified and resolved, with online banking services fully restored by the afternoon of April 25, 2025.

What Information Was Exposed?

The compromised information included customer names, account numbers, balances, and transaction history.

What’s Arvest Doing?

Arvest is providing affected customers with free credit monitoring and identity theft recovery services. They’re also advising customers to consider placing a security freeze on their credit files with Equifax, Experian, or TransUnion if they’re particularly concerned about fraud.
