A new accelerator program, Tokenize Indonesia, is launching to support startups using blockchain technology to manage real-world assets (RWAs). Saison Capital, BRI Ventures, and Coinvestasi are partnering to bring this initiative to life.
Boosting Indonesia’s Blockchain Scene
The program aims to supercharge the adoption of tokenized assets in Indonesia. A recent report, “Project Wira,” estimates a massive $88 billion market potential for this technology in the country. Tokenize Indonesia will run from April to August 2025.
What the Accelerator Offers
Selected startups will get to develop proof-of-concept projects with major Indonesian companies, including Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI) and Telkom Indonesia. The program culminates in August at Coinfest Asia in Bali, where participating startups will showcase their work.
Partner Perspectives
Saison Capital’s Qin En Looi highlighted the potential of blockchain for inclusive finance and creating more equitable systems. They’re actively investing in blockchain startups despite market volatility.
BRI Ventures’ Markus Liman Rahardja emphasized their commitment to exploring transformative technologies and fostering collaboration between established financial institutions and innovative tech companies.
Coinvestasi’s Steven Suhadi pointed to Indonesia’s rapidly growing Web 3.0 adoption, with over 20 million crypto users, creating a fertile ground for blockchain innovation.
Indonesia’s Ripe for Blockchain
Indonesia’s tech-savvy population, expanding middle class, and growing fintech sector are all contributing to a booming environment for blockchain-based innovations. Project Wira, a collaborative report, underscores blockchain’s potential to revolutionize Indonesia’s financial ecosystem. The report notes that 7% of Indonesians own digital assets, exceeding the number of stock investors. This suggests significant room for growth in the tokenization market.
