The Shiba Inu team has made it easier than ever to buy BONE, the utility token for their Shibarium network. You can now use your credit card to buy BONE directly, skipping the hassle of bridging.
Buying BONE With a Click
Shiba Inu’s marketing lead, LUCIE, announced the new card payment feature on X (formerly Twitter). This means you can now buy BONE directly on Shibarium without needing to transfer funds from other networks.
The community has responded positively to the news, with many already using the new feature. One user, @sand_ShibArmy, even shared a screenshot of a successful BONE purchase using their card. They praised the process as “easy, fast, and cheap.”
Shibarium’s Adoption Struggles
While this new feature is a positive step for Shibarium, the network still faces challenges in attracting users. It has one of the lowest Total Value Locked (TVL) among Ethereum Layer 2 networks, with only $1.25 million compared to competitors like Arbitrum and Polygon, which have hundreds of millions or even billions of dollars in TVL.
Shibarium also sees low daily active accounts (87 wallets) and transactions (768 per day). This is significantly lower than other Layer 2 networks. The number of new contracts deployed daily is also very low, indicating a lack of developer interest.
BONE Price Unchanged
Despite the new payment feature, the price of BONE has not seen any significant changes. It’s currently down about 3% in the last day, trading at $0.4178.
