Musk’s DOGE Agency Explores Blockchain for Government Efficiency

Elon Musk, head of the newly formed Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), is reportedly looking into using blockchain technology to revamp government operations.

Blockchain for Better Government?

Sources say Musk is exploring blockchain’s potential to:

  • Reduce government spending
  • Track federal funds
  • Improve data security
  • Streamline payments
  • Manage government properties

Inside DOGE’s Blockchain Initiative

People familiar with the matter say DOGE representatives have been in talks with various public blockchain projects to assess their feasibility. Musk reportedly assembled a team of about 100 volunteers to develop code for DOGE before the recent presidential inauguration.

Unconfirmed Reports and a Curious Logo Change

While Bloomberg reported on these developments, the White House, DOGE, and Musk himself haven’t commented. Interestingly, the official DOGE website initially featured an image of Kabuso, the Shiba Inu that inspired Dogecoin. This image has since been replaced with a US dollar sign. It’s also worth noting that Musk reportedly removed Vivek Ramaswamy from his co-chair position at DOGE.
