A leading crypto analyst predicts central banks will start printing more money in the first quarter of 2025, potentially boosting Bitcoin’s price.
Money Printing on the Horizon
Jamie Coutts, Real Vision’s chief digital assets analyst, believes that central bank intervention is likely this quarter. He points to a global debt crisis and the inherent nature of fiat currency systems as reasons why increased money supply is almost inevitable. With global debt at a staggering 340% of GDP, he argues that monetary expansion is simply a matter of time.
Bitcoin’s Price Tied to the Dollar
Coutts highlights the US dollar index (DXY) as a key factor influencing Bitcoin’s price. He notes that if the DXY, which measures the dollar against other major currencies, breaks below its recent support level of around 107, Bitcoin could hit new all-time highs. At the time of writing, Bitcoin is trading slightly below its recent all-time high, and the DXY is hovering around 107.
