A massive data breach has affected over 7.6 million customers of Evolve Bank & Trust, exposing their personal information. The hack, carried out by the notorious Russian group LockBit, has also impacted several other financial companies that work with Evolve.

The stolen data includes sensitive information like:

Several other financial companies have confirmed that their customers’ data may have been compromised, including:
- Affirm: 18 million Affirm Card users may be affected.
- Wise, Bilt, Marqeta, Mercury, and EarnIn: These companies are investigating whether their customers’ data was stolen.
How Did It Happen?
The hack occurred after an Evolve Bank & Trust employee clicked on a malicious link in late May.
