A $28 Billion Bitcoin Bet

Saylor announced the purchase on X (formerly Twitter), noting that the average price paid for their Bitcoin is around $62,691 per coin. The company also reported a 0.32% year-to-date yield on their Bitcoin investment as of January 12th, 2025.

Future Plans and Market Conditions

MicroStrategy recently announced a potential $2 billion fundraising plan to buy even more Bitcoin. However, they’ve emphasized that this plan, slated for the first quarter of 2025, is contingent on favorable market conditions. The company has the option to proceed or cancel the fundraising entirely.
