Kraken, a major cryptocurrency exchange, is adding a bunch of new altcoins to its list of potential additions. This move signals a significant expansion of their services.
New Altcoins on the Horizon
The exchange announced it’s considering 19 new altcoins, including some interesting ones like:
- Memecoins: Peanut the Squirrel (PNUT), Neiro (NEIRO), Notcoin (NOT), Fwog (FWOG), MAGA (TRUMP), Dogs (DOGS), and Moo Deng (MOODENG) are among the memecoins in the running.
- New Blockchains: Kraken also plans to integrate three new blockchains: DYDX, Arweave (AR), and BNB Chain, along with their native tokens.
A Rigorous Listing Process
Kraken emphasizes that adding a coin to its roadmap doesn’t guarantee listing. Each token undergoes a thorough review process, which includes:
- In-depth analysis: Kraken’s team meticulously examines each digital asset.
- Legal review: The exchange’s legal team ensures compliance.
- KLC vote:
The Kraken Listing Committee (KLC) votes on whether to proceed. A majority vote is needed for a coin to be listed.
Kraken stresses that this rigorous process ensures fairness and integrity in its listings.
