A Whimsical Web3 Party
Forgotten Playland, a brand-new multiplayer party game, has just launched on the Epic Games Store. Developed by Duckland Games and Vermillion (a collaboration with the Beam Foundation), this game brings adorable, mischievous stuffed creatures called PlushKyn to life in a chaotic, vibrant attic setting. It’s a free-to-play experience blending competitive gameplay with blockchain technology.
Gameplay and Features
Players battle for dominance in a series of over 20 unique party games. There’s plenty of customization options to make your PlushKyn stand out, plus fun mini-games to keep you entertained between matches. A battle pass and seasonal events will ensure fresh content keeps the fun going.
Web3 Integration
Forgotten Playland integrates blockchain technology using the Beam Network and the $FP token. Players can earn and trade in-game currency, buy and sell cosmetic items as NFTs, and even purchase access to special events. While on-chain transactions are coming in an April update, the game is already offering a taste of Web3 gaming.
What the Developers Say
Zico Bakker, Co-Founder & Head of Production at Duckland Games, explained that the goal was to create a multiplayer experience that empowers players through Web3 technology, giving them more control over their in-game assets.
