Ethereum’s Predicted Rise Against Bitcoin

Popular crypto analyst Benjamin Cowen predicts a bullish future for Ethereum (ETH) relative to Bitcoin (BTC). He believes ETH will start to outperform BTC in early 2025, regardless of Bitcoin’s performance against the US dollar.

Cowen’s Prediction: ETH/BTC to Surge in 2025

Cowen, who boasts a large YouTube following, bases his prediction on historical trends. He points out that historically, the ETH/BTC ratio typically bottoms out in December or January. While he expects ETH to remain relatively weak against BTC for the rest of 2024, possibly into early January 2025, he anticipates a significant upswing thereafter.

He explains, “Historically, ETH/BTC bottoms out around December or January. I think ETH will stay weak against Bitcoin for the rest of the year, maybe early January. Then I expect ETH/BTC to start moving up in 2025, no matter what BTC is doing against the dollar.”

Quarterly Returns: A Look Back and Forward

Cowen further supports his prediction by analyzing past market cycles. He notes that based on previous performance, 2025 should see positive quarterly returns for ETH/BTC. He observes similar patterns in previous years, highlighting periods of growth in the ETH/BTC ratio. He concludes that “you’re probably going to see more green for ETH/BTC in 2025 and maybe even early 2026.”

Current Market Conditions

At the time of writing, the ETH/BTC ratio is valued at 0.03444 ($3,343.71).
