Tesla CEO Elon Musk has hinted that the electric car company may start accepting Dogecoin (DOGE) as payment in the future.

Musk made the comments at the Giga Berlin manufacturing plant in Germany. He noted that Tesla already accepts DOGE for merchandise purchases.
Support from the People
Musk explained that his support for DOGE stemmed from his interactions with Tesla and SpaceX employees who were enthusiastic about the cryptocurrency.
DOGE’s Rise
In the hours following Musk’s comments, DOGE jumped nearly 14%, from $0.166 to $0.189. At the time of writing, DOGE is trading at $0.173, a 3.68% gain over the past 24 hours.
