Crypto analyst Michaël van de Poppe believes that Bitcoin’s dominance is waning, and other cryptocurrencies, particularly those in the DeFi and DePIN sectors, are set to surge.
DeFi and DePIN to Lead the Charge
Van de Poppe told his followers that DeFi (decentralized finance) and DePIN (decentralized physical infrastructure) projects are likely to significantly outperform Bitcoin. DePIN involves using crypto assets and blockchain to incentivize the construction of real-world infrastructure.
Bitcoin’s Potential Correction
While Bitcoin has been performing well, Van de Poppe believes it may be nearing a peak. He predicts that it could rise to $58,000 before experiencing a market correction.
Long-Term Bitcoin Outlook
Despite the potential correction, Van de Poppe remains bullish on Bitcoin’s long-term prospects. He believes that it will follow historical price patterns and significantly increase in value over the next two years.
Bitcoin’s Current Value
At the time of writing, Bitcoin is trading at $51,835, up 4% in the past week.
