A popular crypto analyst, Pentoshi, is forecasting significant price swings for two altcoins based on upcoming events. He shared his predictions with his over 800,000 followers on X.
Lido DAO (LDO) Could Explode
Pentoshi believes Lido DAO (LDO), an Ethereum-based staking service, is poised for a dramatic price increase. He anticipates this surge will happen once US regulators approve Ethereum staking within spot ETFs. He stated that if ETH staking gets the green light, LDO is a strong bet. He’s targeting a price of $3.612 for LDO (currently around $1.95).
Ondo Finance (ONDO): A Short-Term Gamble
Pentoshi also highlighted Ondo Finance (ONDO), a DeFi protocol focused on real-world assets (RWAs). He suggests the upcoming ONDO Summit 2025 on February 6th could trigger short-term price gains. BlackRock’s chief investment officer will be speaking, leading to potential speculation. However, he cautions that this could be followed by a sell-off after the event. He plans to sell his ONDO holdings before the summit. ONDO is currently trading at $1.29.
