Craig Wright’s Bitcoin Creator Claim Rejected Again

A UK appeals court has completely dismissed Craig Wright’s claim that he is Satoshi Nakamoto, the pseudonymous creator of Bitcoin. The court deemed his appeal “totally without merit.”

Appeal Fails Spectacularly

BitMEX Research reported on the decision, highlighting the judge’s scathing assessment of Wright’s case. The judge found that Wright had repeatedly lied to the court and forged numerous documents to support his claim. The evidence against Wright was deemed overwhelming.

The judge stated there was no reason to continue the case, declaring the appeal had “no prospect of success whatever.” This effectively ends Wright’s legal attempts to prove his identity as Satoshi Nakamoto.

Original Ruling Reiterated

This decision builds upon a previous ruling from March of this year. That ruling declared that Wright was not:

  • The author of the Bitcoin white paper
  • The person operating under the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto (2008-2011)
  • The creator of the Bitcoin system
  • The author of the initial Bitcoin software

The court’s findings leave little doubt regarding Wright’s claims. His attempts to establish himself as Bitcoin’s creator have been decisively rejected.
