Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway made some major investment changes in the final quarter of 2024. The company significantly reduced its holdings in one giant, while adding big positions in others.
Bank of America Sell-Off
Berkshire Hathaway dumped a massive $5.5 billion worth of Bank of America stock, selling off 117.4 million shares. This leaves Berkshire with an 8.9% stake in the bank.
New Investments
But it wasn’t all selling. Berkshire made a significant new investment in Constellation Brands, the company behind Corona and Modelo beers, purchasing around $1.2 billion worth of stock.
Other notable additions to the Berkshire portfolio included:
- Sirius XM: Approximately $325 million in shares.
- Domino’s Pizza: Around $470 million in shares.
Cash on Hand
Despite these moves, Berkshire Hathaway still has a whopping $300 billion in cash reserves.
