Not the Only One
This isn’t the first time a Bitcoin whale has woken up after a long sleep. Just last week, another whale moved 99 Bitcoin, worth over $6 million.
Miners Cashing In
Experts believe that some of these recent moves are coming from Bitcoin miners who have been holding onto their rewards from 2009. These miners were rewarded with 50 Bitcoin per block, which they’ve been sitting on for years.
Bitcoin’s Price is Up
Bitcoin is currently trading at around $61,983, a slight increase over the past 24 hours.
