Crypto expert Tom Lee, co-founder of Fundstrat, has issued a short-term bearish prediction for Bitcoin (BTC). He anticipates a price drop.
Lee’s Price Prediction
Lee believes Bitcoin could fall to $62,000 by the end of March, representing a roughly 34% decrease from current prices. This prediction is based on technical analysis from his colleague, Mark Newton, who’s held a bearish outlook since mid-January.
Short-Term Bearish, Long-Term Bullish
Despite this near-term pessimism, Lee remains bullish on Bitcoin’s long-term prospects. He highlights Bitcoin’s increasing utility and its potential to become a more widely accepted store of value, similar to gold. He acknowledges that Bitcoin, as a “risk-on” asset, is susceptible to broader market downturns caused by factors like tariffs.
Bitcoin’s Current Market Position
At the time of writing, Bitcoin is trading above $93,000, showing a recent increase. However, Lee’s prediction suggests a significant correction is possible.
