Arthur Hayes, the BitMEX co-founder, is predicting big price increases for Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH). He thinks they’re both headed for new all-time highs.
Bitcoin’s Next Big Move?
Hayes believes Bitcoin could easily surpass its previous record high of $108,000. He bases this on Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell’s recent announcement to slow down quantitative tightening (QT) by April 1st. Hayes interprets this as a shift towards quantitative easing (QE), a policy that historically has boosted crypto markets. He’s even put his money where his mouth is, saying he bets Bitcoin will hit $110,000 before dropping back down to $76,500. If it hits $110,000, he predicts a continued rally all the way to $250,000. At the time of this writing, Bitcoin is trading around $87,641.
Ethereum’s Race Against Solana
Hayes also has high hopes for Ethereum. He predicts ETH will reach a new all-time high before Solana (SOL) does. Specifically, he thinks ETH will hit $5,000 before SOL reaches $300. Currently, ETH is trading around $2,068, and SOL is at $144.
