Binance Adds New Ethereum Layer-2 Coin to Trading Platform

Binance, the big name in crypto trading, just added a new Ethereum layer-2 coin called Scroll (SCR) to its platform.

What is Scroll?

Scroll is a project designed to make Ethereum faster and cheaper to use. It does this by using a technology called “zero knowledge proof” to process transactions off the main Ethereum network.

Trading Scroll on Binance

You can now buy and sell Scroll on Binance using Bitcoin (BTC), Tether (USDT), FDUSD, and Turkish Lira (TRY). You can even buy it with your credit card or debit card using services like Visa, Mastercard, Google Pay, and Apple Pay.

Airdrop and Token Supply

Scroll recently had its first airdrop, giving away some SCR tokens to early supporters. The total supply of SCR is 1 billion, with 190 million (19%) currently circulating.

Risk Warning

Binance has labeled SCR as a “seed” token, meaning it’s a new project with potentially higher volatility. This means the price could swing up or down more than other coins on the platform. Binance requires users to take a quiz every 90 days to make sure they understand the risks involved before trading SCR.

Current Price and Market Cap

Scroll is currently trading at $0.9178, down 21.3% in the last 24 hours. It has a market cap of $174.6 million, making it the 301st largest cryptocurrency project.
