A top executive at BlackRock, a massive investment firm, thinks Bitcoin and Ethereum will be included in standard investment plans by the end of 2025.
Big Banks are Taking Notice
Samara Cohen, who oversees ETFs and index investments at BlackRock, says big banks like Morgan Stanley, Wells Fargo, and UBS are seriously looking into Bitcoin and Ethereum. They’re trying to understand how these cryptocurrencies could fit into their clients’ investment strategies.
Diversification is Key
Cohen believes these banks see Bitcoin and Ethereum as a way to diversify investments. They’re different from traditional assets like stocks and bonds, so they could help investors manage risk.
Model Portfolios are the Next Step
Cohen thinks that by the end of this year or early next year, we’ll see Bitcoin and Ethereum included in model portfolios. These are pre-designed investment plans that financial advisors use to guide their clients. This would mean more investors are using cryptocurrencies as part of their overall investment strategy.
The US Government is On Board
The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) recently approved the first Bitcoin ETFs, which allow investors to buy and sell Bitcoin through a traditional stock exchange. Ethereum ETFs also launched recently.
