Crypto expert Arthur Hayes believes Aptos, a Solana competitor, could become the go-to blockchain for initial coin offerings (ICOs). He points to Aptos’ incredibly low transaction fees as a key advantage.
Cheap Transactions, Big Potential
Hayes argues that the high transaction costs on blockchains like Ethereum in 2017 hampered many ICOs. He predicts that while transaction costs will be much lower across the board in the future (on Ethereum, Solana, Aptos, etc.), Aptos’ exceptionally low fees give it a significant edge.
He highlights the stark difference in transaction costs:
- Aptos: $0.0016
- Solana: $0.05
- Ethereum: $5.22
This affordability, Hayes suggests, could make Aptos the preferred platform for future ICOs, especially if a project can build strong community support.
Aptos vs. Solana: A Prediction
Hayes previously predicted that Aptos would surpass Solana in this market cycle. While Aptos’ native token, APT, is currently trading at $13.25 (down 8% in the last 24 hours), its low transaction fees could be a game-changer.
