Trump visited a crypto-themed bar called PubKey in New York City on Wednesday. The visit was part of his campaign for the upcoming presidential election. While at the bar, Trump used his phone to make a Bitcoin transaction to pay for the burgers. He even said it was “easy” to do.
PubKey shared on social media that Trump paid 1,659,618 satoshis (Sats), which is about $998.77. This was for the “crypto burgers” given to everyone at the event.
Trump’s Crypto Stance
Trump used the event to talk about his support for the crypto industry. He promised to treat the industry “fairly” if he’s re-elected. He also encouraged people to vote for him.
This visit to PubKey is the first time a sitting president has visited the bar. It’s definitely a memorable moment in crypto history!
