BlackRock’s Crypto ETF Plans: No XRP or Solana (Yet!)

BlackRock isn’t currently working on spot ETFs for XRP or Solana, despite online chatter. This might disappoint some, but it also shows these cryptos are on BlackRock’s radar.

BlackRock’s Cautious Approach

BlackRock has officially stated they have no plans to file for XRP or Solana spot ETFs right now. This is in line with their focus on Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs for the time being, as previously mentioned by their CEO and CIO. They’re exploring XRP and Solana for future possibilities, but not spot ETFs just yet.

Future Possibilities and Speculation

Some analysts think BlackRock might file for XRP and Solana spot ETFs by October 2025. This speculation is fueled by increased competition in the crypto ETF market and recent regulatory changes that make ETFs easier to run. However, nothing is official, and any decision depends on regulatory clarity.

Ripple’s Big Win and XRP’s Price Surge

Meanwhile, Ripple won its long legal battle against the SEC! The court ruled that XRP sales on secondary markets aren’t securities. This sent XRP’s price soaring – up 11% to $3.33, a 31% monthly gain, and almost 500% over the past year. Some analysts predict XRP could hit $8 soon, or even $1000 by 2030, if a BlackRock ETF happens.

Ethereum’s Rise

Ethereum is also doing well, up 7% this week to $3,908, thanks to big investors buying and increased corporate adoption. Experts predict ETH could reach $5,000 by year’s end, boosted by interest in ETH ETFs and upcoming network upgrades.
