Chainlink (LINK), the decentralized oracle network, is still the most actively developed project in the decentralized finance (DeFi) space, according to data analytics firm Santiment.
Chainlink Leads the Pack
Santiment’s recent X post revealed that Chainlink boasted a whopping 363.73 significant GitHub events over the past month. That’s way ahead of the competition. DeepBook Protocol (DEEP), a decentralized exchange order book, came in second with 193.57 events, and DeFiChain (DFI), a layer-1 DeFi protocol, took third place with 152 events.
Consistent Leader
Interestingly, these three projects held the same top three positions last month as well. Santiment uses a refined method to track GitHub activity, focusing on meaningful events rather than routine updates.
What it Means
Santiment has previously suggested that high development activity is a good sign for a crypto project. It often indicates developer confidence in the project’s success and reduces the risk of it being a scam.
