A popular crypto analyst, Michaël van de Poppe, is predicting a much longer and stronger bull market for cryptocurrencies than previously anticipated. He shared his predictions with his large following on X (formerly Twitter).
Bitcoin and Ethereum Price Targets
Van de Poppe believes Bitcoin (BTC) could reach $500,000 and Ethereum (ETH) could hit $20,000. He suggests this extended bull market could last until as late as 2027.
A Less Volatile Bitcoin?
Interestingly, he anticipates less volatility in Bitcoin during this extended upward trend. He predicts fewer significant price corrections (like the 30% drops seen in previous cycles) due to increased market size and liquidity. He envisions a more gradual, “boring” upward climb for Bitcoin, potentially peaking in late 2025 or early 2027. At the time of writing, Bitcoin was trading around $104,600, and Ethereum was at $3,268.
Altcoin Breakout Potential
Van de Poppe also highlighted the potential for several altcoins to surge. He points to Sui (SUI) as an example of a recent breakout, driven by bullish divergence on high-timeframe charts. He sees similar patterns emerging for Optimism (OP), Wormhole (W), and Omni Network (OMNI), suggesting a potential upswing for these and other utility tokens and Ethereum ecosystem projects. At the time of writing, Sui was trading at $4.15, OP at $1.45, W at $0.24, and OMNI at $7.15.
