Binance Pool, the mining platform from the popular crypto exchange Binance, is now letting users mine Litecoin and earn rewards in Bellscoin (BEL).
What is Bellscoin?
Bellscoin is a memecoin created by Billy Markus, the founder of Dogecoin. It’s inspired by the game “Animal Crossing” and was originally launched in 2013, just before Dogecoin.
The Bellscoin website makes it clear that the coin is just for fun. They say it has “no intrinsic value or expectation of financial return” and is “completely useless.”
How it Works
Binance Pool users can choose to receive their mining rewards in Litecoin (LTC), Bellscoin (BEL), or Dogecoin (DOGE).
While Bellscoin is offered as a mining reward, it’s not currently listed on Binance for trading. It’s currently trading at around $0.903, down more than 5% in the last 24 hours.
